This two part webinar will address basic and advanced planning issues for a married couple in which one or both spouses have children from a prior marriage. The panel will address critical issues for the attorney, such as who is the client and the ethical issues of representing both spouses. The panel will also address practical issues such as how to meet the client(s) wishes for the disposition of his, her or their property upon death; how and when should you plan for one or both spouses need for long-term care; and who makes medical and financial decisions during incapacity. And finally, the panel will discuss what happens when one spouse needs care or loses capacity, the planning goes awry, and no one can agree on what to do next.
